The fleet of Ruhr Intrans, the company which used to operate as the licensed Germany branch of Clark forklifts, is growing and thus evolving into a typical WIKING theme cycle. It all began with the first 1:25-scale creation of the Clark forklift which master model maker Alfred Kedzierski released at the beginning of the nineteen fifties. Nearly 65 years later, the same model was transfigured into a filigree 1:87 forklift that serves as a reminiscence of the lifting equipment generation in the post-war years. And now, this model is joined by the “Millipede”, carefully crafted based on original records of the late fifties! Sporting the coral red colours of the brand, of course. The Mercedes-Benz LP 333 had appealed to the Clark licensee in the Ruhr District thanks to its vast loading volume and was subsequently assigned a variety of tasks by Ruhr Intrans. From its base in the District, the Clark lorry with its characteristic front twin axle traversed the entire Federal Republic of Germany to procure goods for production. The WIKING history is unparalleled, especially when it comes to Clark, as the theme cycle is now complete: Originally paired at WIKING with the Mercedes-Benz Pullman as a tractor unit with delivery low-loader, the Clark forklift has recently become available as a combo with the matching Mercedes-Benz L 319 service vehicle. The new foursome thus emanates contemporary model-making history – of course à la WIKING!
