New models February/ April 2022

  • Limited edition salutes the last Magirus square hoods
  • Modern classic: Volvo’s refrigerated road train Polar-Express
  • WIKING model tells the tale of Magirus’ Hendurance test
  • Faun tractor unit with Culemeyer wagon-carrying road trailer
  • Filigree: Clark forklift truck in 1:87

The models included in WIKING’s delivery for February and April are stunning bellwethers of the 2022 spring season! The fresh new spring feeling is brought about not only by the trendy colour compositions of the MAN’s contemporary Pausbacke platform trailer truck but also by the mint green and white motor boat and the combination of Hanomag ST 110 tractor unit and flatbed trailer that complements the popular cycle of Bölling themes. But, the traditional model makers did not stop there and decided to also tell the grand stories behind the small miniatures. Henschel’s flatbed tractor-trailer epitomises the sixties, when the Zeitfracht forwarding company embarked on a course of expansion, while the Magirus 235 D with Blumhardt rear tipper semi-truck chronicles the breathtaking test drive from Munich to Kabul in Afghanistan. WIKING furthermore commemorates Germany’s legendary “Baubullen” heavy-duty construction trucks made by Magirus in Ulm – with the launch of a square hood trio with authentic colour scheme that rounds out the special limited edition perfectly. Enthusiasts preferring the classics will appreciate the Normag Faktor I with plough along with the legendary Faun tractor unit pulling the Culemeyer wagon-carrying road trailer flaunting the DB colours of the time. Accompanying these vehicles on their trip back into the fifties and sixties are the DKW Cabrio and Chevrolet’s Malibu SS. Pulling up as a modern classic is the refrigerated road train decked out in the colours of the Polar-Express.
