It was supposed to be the noble version when Chevrolet launched the Chevelle as a new mid-range model in 1964. Its name: Malibu SS, the premium version of the two-door sports coupé at the time. Revitalising the historic moulds, WIKING treats the Malibu SS to the level of care that this true US classic deserves. Crafted with painstaking detail, the imprint highlights the slender silhouette of the sports coupé’s body. In its day, the prototype was available with a six-cylinder in-line engine or a V8 engine – today, it is celebrated as a legendary muscle car in the United States. The Chevrolet Malibu SS was part of the America campaign WIKING had launched in the sixties in a bid to seize more opportunities with vehicles that were unique to each international market.
