It is amazing what an original photo from the excellent design documents stored in the WIKING archive can reveal! While sifting through the model documents of the historic Clark forklift truck, WIKING’s specialists spotted the depiction of the complementary service vehicle next to an authentic red panel sheet: The Mercedes-Benz L 319 had appealed to the Clark licensee in the Ruhr District and was subsequently assigned a variety of tasks by Ruhr Intrans. From the District, the Clark transporter criss-crossed the entire Federal Republic, keeping the forklift fleet running on the yards operated by forwarding companies. WIKING’s history is truly special - especially when it comes to the Clark brand. After all, master model maker Alfred Kedzierski created the Clark forklift truck as a 1:25 scale model early in the decade of the 1950s. Nearly 65 years later, the same model was transfigured into a filigree 1:87 forklift that serves as a reminiscence of the lifting equipment generation in the post-war years. This latest addition is now completing the trio: Originally paired at WIKING with the Mercedes-Benz Pullman including delivery low-loader, the matching service vehicle is now also available for the Clark forklift. This trio emanates contemporary model making history!
