With the VW T2b, WIKING is rounding out the “Bulli” minibus theme with a two-tone design that was trendy at the time. Orange at the bottom, white at the top – an innovative mould with a clever division of the mould steel lets the vehicle easily reach the hearts of all WIKING fans. Its distinctive design allowed the VW “Bulli” to add a glorious chapter to Europe’s auto history in the seventies. Distinguished by indicators that were placed at an elevated position right next to the ventilation grille and by tail lights of enormous size, the minibus heralded in a new time that led car manufacturers to pay greater attention to traffic safety. This background alone makes the facelift - resulting in the second and last German-built version of the T2 - entirely plausible.
