Fenders, marker poles and radiator grille black. Wheel rims traffic red. Bonnet rubber seal and locking clasps black. Silver grab handle, door handles black. Headlamps painted silver, indicators imprinted orange. Radiator grille with black-grey grille structure plus Faun logo and lettering. Tail lights imprinted red. Side lettering with logo “Faun Werke Nürnberg” imprinted on the passenger side tank.

Faun manufactured them both for German forwarders and for their export business. It comes as little surprise then that the F610 series was dominated by heavy-duty tractor units capable of pulling up to 80 tonnes. The model years of 1967 and 1969 gave birth to various versions with wheel bases ranging between 3.6 and 4.5 metres. The engine output alternated between 250, 262 and 275 hp. The outward appearance of the vehicle was surprising as it deviated from the looks of other heavy-hitting machines and the bonnet with the Faun sign rushed ahead of the axle. Keeping these dimensions safely on the road definitely took some getting used to for the driver behind the wheel of the 610/36. On the flip side, the thundering Deutz engine made it possible to keep a remarkable 80 tonnes effortlessly in motion.
