This WIKING model gives a nod to the fifties: Wherever the Menck excavator appeared at construction sites of the Economic Miracle years, it exemplified a focus on reconstruction and major structural projects. WIKING has dedicated a contemporary model in factory colours to this juggernaut of construction machinery. All lettering beams in the then typical zinc yellow, while the body colour radiates in satisfying gentian blue - it is hard to conceive a more contemporary colour combination than the one chosen for this Menck bucket excavator. The functionality of the powerful upper carriage is extremely impressive. Above all, the model makers at WIKING succeeded in transferring the backhoe excavator equipment, including its smoothly working cable mechanism, to the 1:87 scale. Thanks to the use of rubberised cables, the bucket arms with their powerful prototype toothed racks make it a cinch to reproduce the lifting of the load by the construction machine.
