This is how Kaelble owners liked their tipper best - draped in maize yellow factory colours from the chassis to the skip. On top of that, the Meiller lettering on the front of the skip was indispensable during trade fair appearances and presentations. Honour to whom honour is due! The model formed by WIKING based on the contemporary original is the widely used and successful type Kaelble KDV 22 E, which entered into production in 1961. The KDV 22 E was offered with a hitherto unknown variety of engines - ranging in engine output between 200 and 300 hp. And the tipper trailer carried this horsepower figure for all to see and in a way that defined its character: on its gargantuan radiator grille right below the Kaelble lettering. This Kaelble truly deserves the model-making monument that has been created in its honour. When it came to performance, sturdiness and horsepower, the tipper manufacturer from Backnang remained the go-to supplier for many decades – also on the international market. Its 19.1 litre engine made the sandy ground shake when it set the vehicle’s total weight of 37.5 tons in motion.
