At the beginning of the seventies, chassis from MAN were a rather rare sight at German fire stations. Naturally, exceptions included those locations that were loyal to MAN on account of their proximity to the production facilities of the renowned truck manufacturer. The stations who opted for MAN picked the cab-over chassis to have them fitted with a turntable ladder structure by Metz in Karlsruhe. Now, the repeated wish, uttered by myriads of WIKING fans, for creating a model that brings the combination of cab-over chassis and turntable structure back to life has finally come true.
