Rosenbauer RT

Rosenbauer creates a head-turner that not only has an amazing new appearance, it also displays the change in everyday fire brigade technology in this new decade. The first test vehicles of the new “RT” series will be used in the field this year in Berlin, Amsterdam and Dubai. WIKING miniaturises the fire engine to 1:43.

With design & function – the new Rosenbauer “RT”-generation

It has become the biggest sensation in fire brigade vehicle construction – and that despite the postponement of Interschutz 2020. This is because the era of hybrid fire brigade vehicles has begun at Rosenbauer. With the “revolutionary technology”, an entirely new overall concept is on the way, which WIKING is presenting as a 1:43 precision model right at the start of the new decade. The model shows the avant-garde design of the fire brigade vehicle, similar to that once experienced with the introduction of the Rosenbauer Panther. In June, Rosenbauer presented its technical prototype, which already displayed all the main characteristic features of the future emergency vehicle. The time had therefore also come for a change of name, moving away from the concept and design study – the Concept Fire Truck (CFT) – to an independent vehicle type: the “RT”. On the one hand, the “RT” (Revolutionary Technology) designation perpetuates the Rosenbauer nomenclature, and on the other, it highlights the special nature of the vehicle. The vehicle is a response to new issues and is based on completely new approaches and technologies.  The first emergency vehicles will go to the Berlin Fire Brigade, the Amsterdam Fire Brigade and the Dubai Civil Defence. On 23rd September 2020, Rosenbauer finally presented the first vehicles to enthusiastic customers, technology partners and the extremely interested press.

Model with maximum precision and high perceived quality

The “RT” series appears on a scale of 1:43 and WIKING has given it the most careful imprint. Particularly noticeable are the Rosenbauer glass doors intended for the rear cabin access point that are transparent on the model, keeping the view free for the observer, and the Rosenbauer brand logo, “Feuerwehr” lettering and “112” imprinted on the side and rear shutters. The high-quality model comprises painted, die-cast zinc components combined with plastic elements and finished with filgree imprints.
