Wiking-Modellbau will continue to invest in new 1:32 scale models in 2022. The traditional model makers are convinced that ardent collectors and the national retail trade alike appreciate the sophisticated precision models with their well-known richness in detail. One of the primary features that clearly sets WIKING apart from the competition is their ability to launch 1:32 scale miniatures that are as surprising as they are up to the minute, that let collectors enjoy the gems they look for in a model and that continue to afford retailers useful sales incentives.

Trion is the name of Claas’s new generation of combine harvesters

It was the mighty Claas Lexion that let WIKING cause quite a stir in the 1:32 scale back in the day. Especially self-propelled machines enjoy tremendous popularity thanks to their impressive and exceptionally detailed design. The newest addition is the latest series made by the agricultural machinery experts from Harsewinkel: The new Class Trion is now being unveiled. The latest generation of this large harvester boasts a similar level of performance as the rest of the series and will make its mark on the current decade with engine output levels ranging from 258 to 435 HP and grain tank volumes of 8,000 to 12,000 litres. The new generation delivers the specifications that half of the customers on the German market have requested. Just as customers have come to expect, WIKING provides for an effective mix of die-cast zinc components and plastic elements, which have all been fitted by hand. The filigree craftsmanship is finished off by the detailed imprints. Inspired by the mega trend in the world of global agriculture, WIKING has miniaturised the real-life sibling both as a wheel version and as a Terra-Trac version. It goes without saying that WIKING outfits the Claas Trion with the Convio 1080 cutting unit with matching cutting unit trolley, creating a combination that is true to the original.

The cockpit in the latest Fendt generation is dazzling

The traditional model makers will use 2022 as another opportunity to demonstrate their well-known expertise in making tractors – and a look into the cockpit of the two tractor newcomers will confirm this quality standard in the 1:32 scale. Part of this effort is the overhaul of the Fendt 1050 Vario, which became necessary after the distinctive look of the exhaust on the passenger side changed along with the brand image. The facelift has made the tractor from Marktoberdorf even more towering, while the intricate ornamental trim elevates the Fendt 1050 Vario even further. And, there is another detail that bears closer inspection: The new cab interior, with FendtONE driver's workplace for more functionality, customisability and ergonomics, paints a harmonious picture of the entire interior. The same applies equally to the Fendt 942 Vario. The traditional model makers upgraded this cockpit as well with the FendtONE driver's workplace.

Both miniatures, which will first be delivered exclusively by Fendt before later being supplied to retailers, are a testimony to WIKING’s focus on a type of continuous product development that marries maximum detail with the highest possible level of functionality.
