Premiere with a state-of-the-art hose reel

•    Eminent fire engine boasts a new mission detail
•    Auxiliary fire engine based on MAN TGM
•    True-to-the-original equipment even on a 1:87 scale

An auxiliary fire engine looking like it is dashing off to answer a call – WIKING always puts equipment details front and centre! That is particularly evident on fire brigade vehicles. The traditional model makers are now augmenting the fire engine of Rosenbauer's AT generation with a completely new hose reel. The AT accessories can therefore be assigned to a further deployment for versatile rescue fire engines of the latest generation. With this up-to-the-minute fire engine, WIKING has realised the new AT series in the 1:87 scale and at the same time miniaturised the influential design of the original generation. The AT series on MAN’s TGM chassis looks like a typical HLF 20-16, which has become the standard with medium-sized and major fire brigades over the last few years.

Welcome opportunity for the assignment diorama

Rosenbauer’s primary focus on merging the functional with the visually appealing aspects of design date back to before the millennium. Many superstructure manufacturers followed suit. In conformity with the large original, WIKING has designed the components of the AT series such that the associated moulds can be sprayed to match the colour assignment of the assembly. The pump unit can be covered or made visible through the transparent glazing as needed – just as requested by the fire brigades ordering the equipment. Naturally, this model innovation also offers the option to remove the beefed-up hose reel – a welcome opportunity for the assignment diorama.
