New models December 2021

  • Modern classic: Alfa Spider and Opel Kadett C Coupé
  • Last Ulm Eckhauber delivers scaffolding to the construction site
  • Mercedes-Benz Pullman as an airport tanker truck
  • Swiss forwarding company depends on Hanomag Henschel
  • Normag Faktor I miniaturised to a tractor classic

You will not find a better prototype for a 1:87 miniature than a WIKING model – this is the look of a brand history that is alive and well! WIKING is paying homage to the Clark forklift truck that was built as a 1:25 scale model by master model maker Alfred Kedzierski, as part of an industrial order placed by Ruhr Intrans. The story is now coming full circle after 65 years. And, since they are always focussed on pursuing themes, WIKING is pairing the delivery of the Clark forklift truck with the matching low-loader road train. WIKING applies the same model philosophy to the Normag tractor Faktor I, which WIKING also used to build on the large scale and is now unveiling as the original model’s 1:87 scale miniature counterpart. WIKING is also taking the wraps off the mighty Henschel bonnet truck HS 140, which instantly pops up in the distinctive colours of the Union-Transport forwarder. The traditional model makers have furthermore managed to turn the December delivery into a presentation of remarkable classics. Foremost among them is a fire red Esso tanker road train, whose prototype saw action at many airports in the nineteen fifties when it supplied aeroplanes with fuel. The Friderici forwarding company from Switzerland joins in as well and contributes a gorgeous contemporary prototype of a Hanomag-Henschel, the German lorry manufacture whom they swore by and relied on for their business. Meanwhile, the last square hood generation from Ulm rolls in as an authentic construction road train and carries scaffolding to boot. Two modern classics - the Alfa Spider and the Opel Kadett C Coupé - add a sporty note to the product range, while the Mercedes-Benz 240 D demonstrates its merits as a police vehicle. After receiving a facelift, the up-to-the-minute auxiliary fire engine of the Rosenbauer’s AT series is now ready for action.

  • Miniaturised versions of turntable ladder and Rosenbauer’s AT series
  • Claas Arion 630 with an updated look
  • John Deere 8R 410 beaming with character
  • Modern classic Case 1455 XL is making its début

WIKING is providing fresh new impetus to the retail trade by including in their December delivery two emergency vehicles modelled after Rosenbauer originals and three precision models in the agricultural machine scale of 1:32. One of the models celebrating their première is the L32A-XS turntable with tilt-down rescue basket, which is mounted on the chassis of the Mercedes-Benz Atego. This model is joined by the latest facelift version of the AT series. Making their appearance among the tractors are the Claas Arion 630 and the John Deere 8R 410. Last, but not least, the latest modern classic, the Case 1455 XL, once was launched by International Harvester as a product of German manufacturing.
