New models December 2020

As 2020 draws to a close, WIKING is demonstrating that agriculture is an integral part deeply ingrained in the brand's DNA: With the Claas Xerion 4500 and the big square baler Krone BiG Pack 1290 HDP VC the traditional model makers have miniaturised leading-edge agricultural machines that are a common sight across all of Europe's vast agricultural areas. Also making their début are Still’s latest generation of forklift trucks and a modern tank container semi-truck – ringing in the new and multifaceted WIKING decade as highlights in the December new items delivery! Also, it goes without saying that WIKING will remain true to their goal of chronicling automotive prototypes, recapturing in models the fascination of nearly all post-war decades. One fine addition to the product range is the Büssing 4500 – back then, Kohlen Wuttke ranked among the most recognisable coal merchants, doing business all across WIKING's former Berlin headquarters in Lichterfelde. Pulling in tandem with a powerful Henschel tractor unit, this combination virtually seems to moan and grown under the three-pipe load - model making on the 1:87 scale does not get any more authentic than this. The Henschel with its flatbed semi-trailer dashes in as a stunning model carrying a shiny load. This model is beautifully contrasted by the Mercedes-Benz O 319, a Panorama bus that makes its first appearance as a contemporary tractor-trailer combination. Enthusiasts are also treated to a reunion with the Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Cabrio, the dream car that remained the object of desire for every major TV and film star until the end of the 1960s. Joining other models in the water blue construction site series, the Magirus square hood with Fuchs crane completes the product range just as perfectly as the Volvo F88, presented as a semi-trailer and adding the colours of the Newexco logistics company to the selection.

New models scale 1:32

One cornerstone of the quality philosophy behind the 1:32 scale is functionality. WIKING manages to bring real-life functionality to the miniaturised version. This is why the Manitou MLT 635 is able to show off its telescopic ability as a dazzling farmyard acrobat – demonstrating yet again why agricultural businesses rely on these self-propelled machines.
