New models August 2020

The traditional model makers are complementing the range of 1:160 scale models with a new WIKING legend: The Hanomag bucket loader B11 now also supports construction site operation in N-gauge after having been a staple in the 1:87 scale range for 54 years. What is more, WIKING is unveiling attractive themes capable of adding new facets to models that have already established themselves. Examples include the Fuchs excavator with a matching customer service vehicle and the VW Golf I, which launches as a bicolour police vehicle. With the Henschel forward-control truck WIKING has miniaturised Aral’s first tanker trailer that travelled the roads in the first decade after the war. Also new to the product range are the DKW speed van operating as a bus and the Mercedes-Benz L 408 that comes with a mountable tank in Homberg colours. And, the August delivery also includes the comeback of BMW’s 325 convertible and the MB Trac. Finally, the large circular garage offers a throwback to a special chapter in WIKING's model-making history.

In its August delivery, WIKING is presenting a highly sought-after tractor in 32-fold detailed miniaturisation. Without a doubt, the IHC 1455 XL ranks among the true milestones in German tractor construction – with a prototype that combines distinction with tremendous horsepower. Formerly manufactured in Neuss, the powerful tractor attracts attention with its characteristic engine sound along and epitomises the pride of the tractor production, which back then was taken over by Case.
