New models June 2022

  • Box trailer with WIKING DNA emerges from new moulds
  • Iveco flatbed semi-trailer in Danzas colours
  • Reunion with the DAF 3300 as a container workhorse
  • Limited edition as a throwback to the dawn of the jet age

Debuting as the first Faun tractor unit at WIKING and at the same time a one-of-a-kind modern classic: With this Faun the traditional model makers are building on the tradition of historic heavy goods transports – the tractor unit from Nuremberg gears up to handle large-scale transport jobs in the 1:87 scale. What is more, the new items brought to the retail trade in June demonstrate a welcome breadth of themes from years long gone to today -  that makes WIKING unique. The classics include the DKW Limousine of the late nineteen fifties and the Ford 17M, a milestone car of the sixties. WIKING has, for the first time, furnished the low-side flatbed of the Tempo Matador with a tarp. Another brand new addition is the two-axle box semi-trailer of the MAN Pausbacke, which has been crafted in new moulds based on the historic WIKING prototype and including the old advertising. The tractors picked for the agricultural machinery segment are on the cutting edge: Rolling into the portfolio are the Fendt 942 Vario with its latest filigree interior and the black Claas Arion 640 with front loader. Meanwhile, WIKING also continues to pursue favoured themes and revitalises no fewer than two modern classic lorries of the eighties. Rolling up as one of these rekindled classics is the flatbed tractor-trailer with Iveco tractor unit in Danzas colours, while the other model treats us to a reunion with the DAF 3300 operating as a container semi-trailer for P&O Ferrymasters. The traditional model makers are furthermore releasing a special theme edition, waxing lyrical about the time when the VW T1 with double cabin still flaunted the colours of the venerable US airline Pan Am while towing baggage carts across the tarmac.
