WIKING’s May delivery is focused entirely on presenting automotive milestones and upgrading classics with the utmost attention to detail: One highlight is the Audi 100, which once served the Ingolstadt auto maker as a ticket to the class of modern mid-sized automobiles. The Volvo 850 station wagon loved to show off its iconic sporty look. It made a name for itself when it entered the touring car racing circuit as the “T-5R” in 1994. Clad in sand yellow, the Magirus stanchion trailer truck rolls up as an expert for unusual loads, while a Magirus towing vehicle in wine red joins the ranks of the other “Howlers” from Ulm. Known by its nickname “Frog Eye” the Unimog U 401 gains an even more distinctive patina with each new incarnation. The automotive past of the post-war era is brought back to life by the Ford Taunus G73A, aka the “Humpback Taunus” from 1949, and the indestructible VW Beetle 1200 draped in subtle green beige. The trio of historic construction fleet vehicles is crowned by a three-axle Mercedes-Benz flatbed made by “Raab Karcher”. The latest delivery is rounded off by the Magirus tanker in the service of “Klöckner Heizöl” and by the BMW Isetta, flaunting the one-of-a-kind colour scheme of BMW Motor Sports.
