Authenticity is what WIKING’s February delivery is all about! The model series is spearheaded by the crawler excavator Krupp Ardelt type 25RU, a mechanical giant of the fifties that embodies a genuine piece of industrial history on treads. Miniaturised in the pastel blue trade fair version of the former original, the model stands out with its functional cable mechanism and its face shovel, which serves as a throwback to the time before hydraulics came out on top. Another historical highlight is the luxurious Horch 850, which epitomises the elegance of the thirties and the early model making tradition of WIKING founder Friedrich Peltzer. In the field of commercial vehicles, the latest delivery is strongly focused on forwarding companies. The VW Caddy brandishes the striking yellow-blue colours of the Swedish ASG flag, while the Emons forwarding company is recognised with a powerful round hood Magirus S 7500 model including comfortable long distance cab. The era of cubic driver’s cabs is represented by the Henschel flatbed tractor-trailer in the service of the Pracht forwarding company as well as by the Mercedes-Benz heavy-duty tractor unit operated by the Pieper logistics experts in Dortmund. Enthusiasts who appreciate everyday heroes will delight in the Mercedes-Benz short hood with flatbed, presenting itself as a versatile load hauler. The classics in the realm of leisure vehicles also receive special attention in the shape of the Mazda MX5, which sparked a roadster renaissance in the nineties. Rounding out the selection is the nostalgic VW T1 ambulance team, which is reminiscent of an advertising model conceived for the occasion of the historic fire protection fair “Red Rooster”.
